Phoenix Feathers, Est. 2011

Handcrafting distinctive porcelain gifts was my inaugural venture into the world of art as a profession. Following an internship with a porcelain art studio, I began to explore strategies to reduce my environmental impact through creative recycling.. My process now integrates sourcing blank (or minimally decorated) porcelain from charity shops, free shops and estate clearances, harnessing solar energy to fuel my firing kiln, and selling my creations locally.

Phoenix Feathers makes use of bright colours, earthy tones and golden accents to layer new stories that evoke a sense of mystery. Each hue is deliberately chosen to enhance the narrative: shades of blue evoke traditional crafts. the earthy tones ground the piece in natural beauty, while the golden accents symbolise hope and renewal, mirroring the mythical journey of the phoenix rising from its ashes.

Mediums: decorative design, overglaze painting, porcelain, scenography, tile
